with Justin Race and Tara Saunders from Purdue University Press
First-time authors often call publishing a “black box.” In this session we will demystify the process and discuss how to choose a publisher, craft a compelling book proposal, prepare for peer review, and successfully promote your book. We’ll share helpful tips and tricks for authors at every stage in their career, not only in getting your book published, but also having a stress-free enjoyable experience in the process. We’ll also talk about recent trends in publishing, such as the significant move to digital prompted by Covid, and the growth of open access publishing in the humanities and social sciences.
