Join the Department of History, Freedman Center for Digital Scholarship, and Kelvin Smith Library (KSL) for light refreshments and a celebration of the opening of "In Pursuit of Equity: The Ongoing Fight for the Equal Rights Amendment" on Tuesday, May 2nd at 3pm in the library's 1st floor Art Gallery.

2023 will mark one hundred years since the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA) was first introduced to Congress. Seeking to create equality between the sexes, the fight to ratify the amendment continues today.

This exhibit was developed by CWRU students enrolled in the course “Curating Public History: The Equal Rights Amendment (ERA) and Women’s Rights in America.” This course was developed by Einav Rabinovitch-Fox of the History Department and 2022-23 Faculty Freedman Fellow. In this course, students created the exhibition which will be complemented with a digital website and an educational database.

The exhibit in KSL will be on view until Friday, June 2nd.
