Mission
The Music Graduate Student Association works to provide sustained support for current and prospective graduate students in the Department of Music at Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) in all aspects of graduate life. We foster intellectual and professional development through sponsorship of academic events and discussion, and promote fellowship among the graduate students through social events and moral support. We also encourage prospective students to join the program by coordinating campus visits and compiling informative materials about the program. One of our principal goals is that of fostering communication between our graduate student body, the Music Department's staff and faculty, and the campus community as a whole.

Membership Benefits
Members will be a part of the organization's goals of advocacy and mutual support, as well as participate in planning the organization's events, including student gatherings and the Graduate Student Conference, an every-other-year opportunity for graduate students to present their research. Members will also play a role in shaping MGSA's efforts for intra-area collaboration between Musicology, Historical Performance Practice, and Music Education.
