Lecture Title: "Microglial P2RY12 as promising targets in brain disease."
Abstract: The purinergic P2RY12 receptor as emerged as a principal gene/protein in microglial identity. Simultaneously, there is growing evidence for the contribution of this receptor to various brain diseases. In this talk, Dr. Eyo will present published and unpublished work from his lab showing increasing evidence for a role for P2RY12 in brain function that may be relevant for various neurovascular and neurodegenerative diseases.
