In this interactive one-hour experience, Dr. Laura Guilliam blends research, storytelling, reflection, and conversation to explore how belonging develops—and why we may not always experience it when or where we want. Participants will examine how well their own need for belonging is being met across different environments and relationships, the influence they have in shaping their current experiences, and how they can help create the relational conditions that support belonging, well-being, and human flourishing.

This lecture is part of a year-long theme reimagining belonging as something we create together. Through speakers, panels and engaging conversations, participants will gain practical strategies to strengthen collaboration, build meaningful connections, and lead positive changes across the Case Western Reserve University community.
