This semester, the Case Amateur Radio Club and the Physics and Astronomy Club will be running a special web series for students who will be remote. We hope the program will provide some of you, particularly the 2nd and 3rd years who have been unable to return to campus, with a better connection to the CWRU community and fellow students.

The program will consist of around 7 sessions over the course of the semester centered around hands-on activities with peers. The theme of the program is "The Radio and How to Build It" (naturally), with ample opportunity to explore the engineering, physics or other topics of your choosing.

All students who participate will receive materials and tools allowing them to build electronics projects at their homes, thanks to funding provided by the ECSE department. Students will also earn their amateur radio licenses as a part of the program, which legally allows you to experiment on the electromagnetic spectrum (and might serve as a good credential in the future).

We are very excited to offer these activities to all of you, and we hope they will be fun for you as well!

If you are interested, we will be holding an informational session in the third week of February, after add/drop ends. More details, including a full schedule, will be available then, but for now feel free to reach out to myself (aam141@case.edu) or Physics and Astronomy Club president Nadir Talha (nbt4@case.edu) with any questions.

Best wishes for the start of the semester, and we hope to see many of you soon!
