Provost Scholars Program Student Application 2026-2027

Welcome and thank you for your interest in the Provost Scholars Program! This free academic enrichment program connects students from our partner schools to the Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) community. If accepted, you will come to the CWRU campus twice a week to meet with mentors, tutors and hear from campus experts to build the skills needed to succeed in college and your career.

To be eligible as a new applicant for the program, you (the student) must:

1. Be in 9th, 10th or 11th grades for the 2026-2027 academic year
2. Be enrolled in one of our Partner Schools (Cleveland School of the Arts, Ginn Academy, John Hay, Shaw High School)
3. Have a record of excellent behavior, school attendance, punctuality and academic interest
4. Have a 2.5 (C+) minimum overall grade point average
5. Have a recommendation from a school counselor, teacher, coach, mentor or administrator

The Provost Scholars Program Student Application and essay must be completed and submitted electronically on or before Friday, September 11, 2026 to be considered for selection. The program has space for 25 scholars this year. You may be added to a waitlist if the program fills to capacity. Applications received after the deadline date will also be placed on a waitlist.
