At Case Western Reserve, we're committed to leveraging technology for the greater good. Last semester, an AI in Education Task Force began exploring AI integration in our educational processes, leading to the development of a five-year roadmap. This roadmap emphasizes promoting AI literacy, providing training, and expanding degree offerings.

To engage the community, we're piloting various AI initiatives this semester, starting with a faculty-focused lunch and learn series and a symposium. These events will showcase AI technologies used in classrooms, featuring speakers who will share program details, student feedback, and lessons learned. Faculty will have the opportunity to participate in Q&A sessions and live demos.

During this Lunch & Learn, Sining Wang, assistant professor of economics in the Weatherhead School of Management, and one of his students will share their experiences building a “coding mate.” A coding mate is an AI assistant designed to improve the learning experience for non-computer science majors.
