Rishi Jaitly
Professor of Practice and Distinguished Humanities Fellow in the Center for Humanities - Virginia Tech
Keynote Speaker
Professor Rishi Jaitly is a distinguished humanities advocate with extensive experience at the intersection of technology and society. He currently serves as a Distinguished Humanities Fellow and Professor of Practice at Virginia Tech, where he founded the Institute for Leadership in Technology, offering the nation's first executive humanities degree for tech leaders. Jaitly is the co-founder and former CEO of Times Bridge, a venture capital firm aiding the international expansion of companies like Airbnb and Uber.
He previously held leadership roles at Twitter, including Vice President for Asia Pacific, and was the Founding Managing Director of Twitter India. Jaitly has also been involved in several impactful initiatives, such as co-founding Michigan Corps, Kiva Detroit and Flint, and the BMe Community. A former Trustee of Princeton University and Commissioner of Higher Education in New Jersey, Jaitly is currently Vice Chair of the National Humanities Center and serves on various boards. Recognized as one of Rest of World Magazine’s “Top 100 Global Tech Changemakers,” he has spoken at major events like the UN and been featured in prominent media outlets. Jaitly holds an A.B. in History and a Certificate in American Studies from Princeton University.
