This lecture is the second of two evenings with award-winning filmmaker and virtual reality creator, Avi Dabach, examining the 1947 destruction of Aleppo’s Jewish community and the mystery of the Aleppo Codex, showing how personal memory, documentary film, and virtual reality can converge to recover a vanished world.

This presentation is one of two evenings with award-winning filmmaker and virtual reality creator, Avi Dabach, exploring the history and destruction of Aleppo’s Great Synagogue and how rare last-minute photographs were transformed through research, 3D modeling, and virtual reality into an immersive reconstruction of lost communal memory.
