Students for Refugees and the Health Fluency Project will be assembling haven packs for refugee families in the Cleveland community under the student-led initiative Refugee Haven Packs project centered on care and dignity! The overall aim of the project, in collaboration with the Refugee Services Collaborative of Greater Cleveland, is to assemble and distribute care packages for refugees that emphasize hygiene, comfort, and self-worth. By addressing the often-overlooked need for personal care items, Refugee Haven Packs will help restore a sense of normalcy for those adapting to new environments. This assembly session will count as service hours for the CCEL Scholars program, as well as extra credit for MATH 122 if you attend and assemble three packs! Insomnia cookies will be provided as well.
