The American Men’s Studies Association embraces place-based scholarship as a core value, emphasizing the importance of engaging local histories, communities, and social conditions in the production of knowledge. In alignment with the 2026 conference theme, Masculinities, Care, and Community, AMSA is intentionally hosting the conference as an in-person event in Cleveland, where care, activism, and community resilience are actively practiced and negotiated. Gathering face to face allows for deeper intellectual exchange and affirms our commitment to scholarship that is grounded, relational, and rooted in place. The annual conferences bring together scholars, students, activists, artists, educators, and grassroots practitioners from across the globe to explore how masculinities are enacted, resisted, and transformed across diverse contexts. This year we are lucky enough to have this conference at CWRU June 25th-27th. A discounted community rate for a day pass is being offered for members of the CWRU and Cleveland community. This pass includes meals and attendance to all activities and sessions!! Please check out the link attached to this submission.

If you would like to attend, you need to sign up at this link: https://www.masculinities.online/events-1/community-pass-amsa
