The purpose of SOCA is to create a vibrant and inclusive community that celebrates and promotes Caribbean culture, heritage, and diversity on our campus. We aim to foster a deeper understanding and appreciation of the Caribbean region's rich history, traditions, music, cuisine, and customs. By organizing cultural events, educational initiatives, and social gatherings, we seek to provide a platform for both Caribbean and non-Caribbean students to come together, share experiences, and engage in meaningful dialogue. SOCA is committed to differentiating itself by emphasizing inclusivity, diversity, and the breaking down of cultural barriers, ensuring that everyone, regardless of their background, feels welcome to join our community.

Membership Benefits
Membership in SOCA shall be open to all students, faculty, and staff of CWRU who have an interest in Caribbean culture and a commitment to promoting its appreciation and understanding.
