Regina A. King is the Assistant Professor and Co-Director of the Center on Trauma and Adversity at Case Western Reserve University . Dr. King specializes in trauma-informed care, stress regulation, and system change. She has developed innovative tools like the “Take a Break” micropractice card deck to support mental health and resilience in educational and clinical settings.
In addition to her academic role, King is a mental health innovator. She has developed mental health resources and tools—including workbooks, card decks and digital apps—and written numerous translational non-academic pieces that bridge science and practice to meet the needs of diverse populations. Her professional philosophy is rooted in the belief that social work is both a science and an art, requiring a balance of knowledge, compassion and courage. She is honored to guide students on their journeys to becoming agents of change in their communities and beyond.
