During our time together, we will explore the experience of dissent within teams and share practical tools for managing discord. We will practice these tools in pairs and implement the fishbowl framework. The fishbowl framework relies on the volunteerism of a few brave participants willing to use the previously discussed tools while engaging in a discussion on a dissenting topic.
Objectives:
1. Highlight dissenting topics
2. Gain knowledge of dissenting conversation tools
3. Practice dissenting conversation tools in pairs
4. Practice dissenting conversation tools with 4-5 volunteers in fishbowl
5. Observe fishbowl volunteers utilizing dissenting conversation tools
6. Debrief the use of dissenting conversation tools with all participants
Food Provided (Light Reception at the close of the event)
