Kaushik Ghosal is the Chair of ASPIRE and currently serves as Director of Business Development and Strategic Partnerships at the Amyloidosis Research Consortium (ARC), a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing awareness, science, and treatment of amyloid diseases. Established in 2021, ASPIRE: Amyloidosis Industry Collaborative brings together leading companies in a pre-competitive environment to address critical challenges facing the amyloidosis community. ASPIRE’s mission is to collaboratively develop inclusive, accessible solutions that improve quality of life and health outcomes for individuals affected by systemic amyloidosis.
Kaushik is a seasoned entrepreneur and business development leader with over 15 years of experience spanning R&D and strategic growth roles in the life sciences sector. His expertise includes drug development, corporate expansion, and strategic partnerships. Most recently, he served as Vice President and Head of Business Development for North
America at Dalriada Drug Discovery. Prior to that, he was Director of Business Development at Evotec (NASDAQ: EVO), where he led partnered drug development programs.
Earlier in his career, Kaushik held the role of Director of Business Development at BioMotiv, where he played a pivotal role in launching and managing a portfolio of venture-backed biotech companies. During his tenure, the BioMotiv/Harrington Project expanded into a $360M+ global initiative, establishing strategic alliances with Takeda, Biogen, Arix Bioscience, and Charles River Laboratories. Before BioMotiv, Kaushik served as Director of R&D at ReXceptor Inc., a
clinical-stage biotech company, where he led preclinical and clinical development and forged partnerships with pharmaceutical companies and disease-focused foundations. Kaushik earned an M.Sc. in Biotechnology from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, a Ph.D. from Miami University, and completed postdoctoral training in Neuroscience at the Cleveland Clinic. He has served in advisory roles for several nonprofit organizations in healthcare, including the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation, NIH, and the Empire Discovery Institute.
