Alumni Career Panel

Come join our class, MGRD 500: Foundations of Career Exploration for PhDs, in conversation with CWRU SOM doctoral and postdoc alumni to talk about their career journeys and answer your questions about life beyond graduate school and a postdoc.

Speakers:
Paul Wille, PhD is currently the Director of Product Development at Abeona Therapeutics (Cleveland, Ohio). Prior to joining Abeona in 2018, Dr. Wille was a postdoc and has been held his adjunct professorship here at the CWRU SOM since his postdoc.

Elise Blankenship, PhD [GRS `16] is currently the Director of Medical Affairs Excellence and Chief of Staff at Ipsen. Prior to her time at Ipsen, Dr. Blankenship has gained experience in scientific communications/writing at BioScience Writers, LLC, ProEd Communications and Cello Health. Dr. Blankenship received her PhD here at CWRU SOM in Systems Biology and Bioinformatics.

Fredrick Allen, PhD [GRS `18] is currently the Director of Health Systems Oncology Medical Affairs at Merck. Prior to this position, Dr. Allen trained as a postdoc at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. Dr. Allen also currently serves part time as a Microbiologist for the US Army Medical Department. Dr. Allen received his PhD in Pathology here at CWRU SOM and is an alum of our SOM PREP program.
