MEGR: If You Can't Beat 'Em, Join 'Em: Harnessing Anki Flashcards to Boost Learning

This interactive workshop explores the learning science principles and theory that underlie Anki, the popular spaced repetition flashcard application. By understanding Anki, participants will gain valuable insight into how learners engage with curricular materials beyond the classroom. Participants will then work in small groups to apply these principles by creating Anki flashcards from their own educational materials, leaving with practical tools to enhance learning and engagement. 

For the workshop, participants are expected to bring the following related to a single topic or session that can be challenging for learners.

1. Several slides or a transcript excerpt 

2. At least one schematic or labeled image 

3. Associated learning objective(s)
