Join Sunrise CWRU at the beginning of Climate Action Week 2022 for a political education and organizing skills training. This training will feature modules throughout the day on the politics of the climate crisis, building a movement that can win, and key organizing skills. While we encourage everyone to join us for as much of the day as possible, you will be free to pick and choose with sessions you would like to attend.

10:00 AM - 10:40 AM: What's the problem: Fossil Fuel billionaires are destroying our future
10:45 AM - 11:10 AM: What We're Fighting For: why we need a Green New Deal
11:15 AM - 11:50 AM: The People's Alignment: how we make necessary government action common sense
11:55 AM - 12:30 PM: Collective Liberation: climate action requires dismantling systems of oppression
2:00 PM - 2:45 PM; Public Narrative: using our values and stories to inspire collective action
2:50 PM - 4:05 PM: Action Planning: how to plan and execute a powerful direct action
4:10 PM - 5:00 PM: Relational Organizing: growing our power by talking to our communities
