Mission The purposes of the Case Western Reserve University Student Run Health Clinic (hereinafter the “SRHC”) are:To Serve: To provide high quality, compassionate healthcare to underserved populations within the Greater Cleveland communityTo Learn: To provide health-profession students unique clinical practice and mentorship opportunities at the earliest stages of their careers; andTo Collaborate: To foster and encourage a unique environment for interprofessional collaboration between future healthcare professionals.
Membership BenefitsThe SRHC offers members unique opportunities to engage in clinical, educational, and collaborative activities, including:1. Clinical Practice: Members participate in Saturday clinics providing high-quality healthcare to underserved populations in the Greater Cleveland community.2. Professional Development: Health-profession students gain early-stage clinical practice.3. Interprofessional Collaboration: The clinic fosters collaboration between medical, nursing, dental, social work, and physician associate students, creating a unique environment for teamwork.4. Community Engagement: Members work on outreach initiatives, separate from the Saturday clinic, addressing the needs of the local community.Events Hosted:1. Saturday Clinics: Weekly clinics providing hands-on clinical experience.2. Outreach Events: Planning of events designed to connect with and serve community needs.3. Training Sessions: Volunteer training coordinated by committees to enhance preparedness and skillsets for a interdisciplinary approach to clinical care.4. Fundraising and Development: Public events to secure funding and support for clinic operations.5.
