About Us
The mission of Stop The Bleed is to provide training to incoming medical students, physician assistant students, Health Education Center faculty and staff, and members of our Cleveland community. We train individuals on managing life-threatening bleeds outside medical facilities through direct pressure, compression, and tourniquets, increasing our communities readiness to mitigate the number one preventable cause of death - bleeding. Beyond equipping our community members with the necessary skills to save someone's life, our goal as an organization is to disseminate life-saving first-aid supplies, i.e., tourniquets, to members of the Cleveland community. Inter-professional informational events hosted in the community will bring all graduate schools and members of our community together, emphasizing the importance of immediate bleeding control. Such events will be hosted for local schools and community groups.
