Vadim Arshavsky, PhD, Professor of Ophthalmology at Duke University School of Medicine in Durham, North Carolina will be presenting "The photoreceptor outer segment: How to build a sensory ciliary organelle." Additional presentations will also be given throughout the day featuring the work being done in the various laboratories comprising the VSRC, as well as neighboring vision research institutes.
