Join us on January 27 at 12:00 PM for a fireside chat with Eric Happel, Global Partners Management & Strategy at Nike. During this event, hosted in partnership with Launch Chapel Hill and University of North Carolina Chapel Hill's Eship Center, Eric will discuss his decision to leave Nike for a startup, his experience building a startup, and then his return to Nike with his newfound knowledge and skills.

Eric currently works at Nike setting strategy and guidelines for Nike partner stores in over 30 countries around the world. Prior work at Nike included driving product sustainability strategy and business development for affiliate brands. Eric has also been an entrepreneur twice and an investor in an active angel fund in Portland Oregon. Most recently, from 2008-2013, he helped raise funds and grow an apparel brand in Portland called Wicked Quick.

Fireside Chats are a continuing series of talks hosted by Launch Chapel Hill and UNC's Eship Center. These are real talks with real entrepreneurs: the good, the bad and the ugly of their entrepreneurial journey thus far, not just the shiny success stories. These conversations showcase a broad range of entrepreneurs at various stages of their venture evolution, some at early stages post launch and others in scale and growth mode.
