Join us on February 3 at 12 p.m. via Zoom as part of the Case Western Reserve University Entrepreneurship Series for a Roundtable Discussion with Rob Slee (MGT '84), Founder and Managing Director of Robertson & Foley. He will discuss his adventures in generating financial success in a global economy. 

Rob Slee is an author, investment banker, mentor and business owner. Rob has authored more than three hundred articles on private finance topics in a variety of legal and business journals. He is President of Robertson & Foley, an investment banking firm that provides valuation, capital raising, and transfer advisory services to middle market companies. He speaks extensively on value creation for private businesses. Rob graduated with an MBA from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University in 1984. 

This conversation will be facilitated by Pranjal Vaidya (CWR '18, GRS '22), who is pursuing her PhD in Biomedical/Medical Engineering.

Rob Slee (MGT' 84) is an author, investment banker, mentor and business owner. Rob has authored more than three hundred articles on private finance topics in a variety of legal and business journals.

Rob's book, Private Capital Markets, was published in mid-2004 by John Wiley & Sons and is now considered the seminal work in finance for private companies. A second edition of this book was released in May, 2011. Rob’s second book, Midas Managers (Burn the Boats Press), was released in 2007 and describes how supersuccessful private business owners create substantial wealth in a global economy. Rob also authored Midas Marketing (Burn the Boats Press), and Middle Market M&A (Wiley). Rob’s most recent book, Time Really Is Money, was released in 2015 (Burn the Boats Press).

Rob has owned equity positions in dozens of private businesses, and in 2015 he founded his first unicorn – Quintillion Networks. He has also mentored more than 100 companies. For more than 25 years Rob has also been President of Robertson & Foley, a middle market private investment bank.

He is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Miami University, and received a Master's degree from the University of Chicago and an MBA from Case Western Reserve University. But Rob is still best known as the father of Jen and Jessie Slee, his identical twin daughters.
