About Us

CWRU Wrongful Convictions Club aims to educate the student body about the current state of the American criminal justice system, specifically involving wrongful convictions. CWRU Wrongful Convictions Club plans to educate through informational meetings, inviting speakers who have been impacted by wrongful convictions, watching films, analyzing law, and studying current court cases. CWRU Wrongful Convictions Club also aims to encourage the student body to volunteer with organizations like the Ohio Innocence Project and the ACLU of Ohio by being an easier way to volunteer and fundraise for organizations that work against wrongful convictions.

Members Benefits

Wrongful Convictions Club aims to educate students on the issues of the American justice system through educational workshops, speakers, and service opportunities. We invite lawyers, judges, and individuals directly impacted by the justice system to provide insight to students and give opportunities for networking. We will be fundraising for the national and Ohio innocence projects, along with other organizations that align with our mission.
