About Us

The mission of Advancement Services is to provide support for CWRU alumni relations and development programs. The department provides high quality technology and information management services to departments such as Development, Alumni Affairs, Marketing and Communications, and Career Services. University departments seeking to maintain important connections can gather information through the Ellucian Advance database system or through Central Files. After gathering initial information, users can reach an entire network of alumni and friends at once using iModules, a tool that sends out mass emails. Advancement Services offers training by Technical Services specialists to help users maximize the benefits of each of these systems. All alumni and donor information is kept relevant and timely by the Biographical Management division to ensure that users have access to the information necessary for positive alumni relations. Once these relationships turn into gifts, grants and pledges, they are received and handled by the Records & Gifts Processing division of Advancement Services for the convenience of all.
