Members Benefits

Interest in birding has exploded nationwide, and the CWRU Birding Club aims to foster an inclusive community for students interested in the hobby of birding. The Northeast Ohio region contains extraordinary, world-renowned locations for birding which are especially vibrant in the spring and fall, when annual migrations overlap with CWRU’s semester. This club will facilitate connections between students and faculty with a shared curiosity about or interest in birding and ornithology, expose students to renowned local birding hotspots via regular field trips, host monthly meetings with relevant, expert speakers, educate members about local birds, ear birding, etc., and forge a connection between students and the CWRU Farm.
