CCEL Serves Pop-Ups are one-time service events coordinated by the CCEL Executive Council to provide additional flexible service opportunities for students. The Father Michael Wittman Ozanam Center at St. Philomena Church in East Cleveland provides access to food and clothing to those in need. The Center is open every Saturday and relies solely on the help of volunteers. Volunteers are needed to register and check in & out clients, offer hospitality, sort and hang clothing, pack grocery bags, and more. Registered volunteers will meet at the CCEL office at 9:00 a.m. and return to campus by 1:00 p.m. Transportation is provided. Volunteers should wear closed-toe/closed-heel shoes. The project may also include lifting bags and/or boxes and standing on your feet for the duration of the service. If registration is full, please join the wait list as you will receive an email update if a spot becomes available. If you are still on the wait list at the time of the event, you are welcome to stop by CCEL at that time to see if any last-minute spots open.
