Mission
Ceramic art club is designed to introduce ceramics as a special form of handcraft to students with all different proficiency levels. We aim to create a relaxed and inspiring atmosphere for members to build their clay sculpting and design skills. Students will have the opportunity to design ceramic products of their own choice, such as mugs, planters, and various types of decorations. This organization will occasionally hold trips to the nearby art museums.

Mission
Our mission is to explore various genres in medical literature to strengthen and challenge our perspectives about medicine and healthcare systems while also enjoying reading for reading’s sake. Our club will feature a diverse array of medically-centered genres such as biographies, autobiographies, historicals, and contemporary fiction/non-fiction novels.

We host our monthly roundtable discussions about the Book of the Month, alongside some informal group-read sessions in which people can discuss (and snack!) as they read. We will announce the Book of the Month at the end of the previous month and send out polls to gauge interest in different genres/books and get a sense of everyone's reading timeline. We will also send out optional surveys to ask readers what they think about the books and how they could contribute to medical education.

Mission
This is not your ordinary book club: our specialty is the mystery genre. We will read a variety of mystery novels from traditional whodunits to suspenseful thrillers, watch mystery-themed TV shows and movies, and convene with our fellow detectives on a regular basis for discussions. At the end of the semester, we host a murder mystery dinner party so that you can test your sleuthing abilities in real time (and enjoy delicious food!). Together, we will hone our investigative skills while inspiring the next generation of young detectives.

Our mission is to help young students improve their communication skills and find their voice through free and personalized mentoring in the Arts of Communication. The Arts of Communication consist of public speaking, music, writing, film production, design, and writing. We hope to work with young students in schools and other organizations surrounding the CWRU campus. We also hope to bring awareness to the accessibility issues, such as an inflated price to participate and lack of local resources, in the Arts of Communication and provide resources that work to close the accessibility gap. In addition, we will encourage students on campus to engage in the Arts of Communication.

Mission
The purpose of Etch-A-Sketch shall be to provide all CWRU students, undergraduate or graduate, with a club designated to sketch comedy writing and performance. All members would have the opportunity to engage in: the brainstorming, drafting, and editing stages of sketch writing; directing, acting, and providing technical support for (at minimum) semesterly performances. The engagement will be open to any one of any experience level and open for anyone to join at any time.

Etch-A-Sketch offers its members casual environments to hone writing, comedy, and performance skills. Writer's Rooms and Audition Jams are open to anyone of any experience and can be utilized as a place to work towards performance quality outcomes or just free-form, non committal comedic experience. Our club will look different every semester because of the nature of new sketches, new performance needs, and the culmination of a unique performance, allowing any one to come and join as they please with low to high commitment as they see fit.

Figure Drawing Club will educate its members on figure drawing techniques through live figure drawing sessions and figure drawing demonstrations as well as through lessons and studies on art fundamentals such as color, form, and composition.

The mission of Meaning Through Words is to voice the journey of patients with terminal illness within the Greater Cleveland area and understand the importance of literature in palliative care.

Our group provides direct patient experience as members will have opportunities to engage in direct-patient care experience with terminally ill patients and voice their stories in the form of literature. We will hold workshops by inviting notable faculty within CWRU and allow students to share their own stories through literature. Our group's mission is to give students the resources, instruction, and encouraging environment to create their own projects of items they are unable to buy. Our club wishes for our members to have the guidance and peer-support to create their own creative projects that they are passionate about without having to purchase them online, travel far-away to buy them in-person, use copious amounts of plastic filament to 3d print the few models they can find online, and be unable to customize these trinkets in anyway. Needle-felting addresses all of these issues and students may grow their own confidence to make things themselves.

We believe our club would stand out from other clubs on campus by prioritizing and placing emphasis on educating members on how to utilize camera equipment and editing software. Our club would rather develop these skills so they can utilize them in other organizations & jobs as well as help cultivate a passion and interest in photography. One of the University Media Board's newer organizations, Studio 300 (often stylized "STUDIO300") is a film production club run entirely by CWRU students. We focus on three types of video content: short films, campus life videos, and collaborations with CWRU organizations and/or local groups. Studio 300 was created as a space for students to gain experience with filmmaking in all of its stages -- from brainstorming ideas, to planning the logistics of a shoot, to bringing the script to life behind (or in front of) the camera! Because we aim to provide a hands-on learning experience, students of all skill levels are welcome to get involved.

The Athenian first began in the year 2000, started by a couple undergraduates who thought they were funnier than everybody else. Since the early days, The Athenian has grown into a publication featuring satire, comics, anecdotal humor, silly humor, dark humor, irony, self-depreciation, and spelling errors. The Athenian is so named because the Case Western Reserve University mascot is the "Spartans", and thus, being the smart asses we are, we chose the name of one of Sparta's rival cities from back in the day. We're The Athenian, we're CWRU's official student humor magazine, and we're proud keep making people laugh (or at least smirk a little) since 2000.

The Film Society has been providing the students of CWRU with a place to relax at the end of the week. We show good movies and sell concessions for prices that won't break your bank. Our schedules offer a variety of films through each semester to cater to a broad array of students and community members.

CWRU Film Society members get to, of course, come to any of our screenings for free. Don't like the movie we're showing? That's cool too, there's always other members playing board games, hanging out, or occasionally finishing up their Java projects in the lobby. Additionally you'll get free popcorn and soda, and discounted candy. On Friday nights, there's free pizza and on Saturdays you can come out to eat with us and enjoy something that isn't Leutner for dinner. In exchange, we just ask you to show up a little early and help us hang up a couple posters.
