The Bluegrass Club is dedicated to fostering a vibrant musical community by bringing together students passionate about bluegrass music. Our mission is to provide regular rehearsal opportunities, instrumental lessons, and essential funding for instruments and repairs to celebrate traditional bluegrass heritage.

Membership Benefits
Members of the Bluegrass and Traditional Music Group will have access to instructional lessons on traditional bluegrass instruments, including banjo, mandolin, and harmonica, along with opportunities to practice and perform collaboratively in small ensemble settings.

Case in Point (CiP), founded in 2001, is Case Western Reserve University's premiere co-ed a cappella group.\
In the tradition of a cappella music, every sound you hear is produced solely by the human voice (and hands). Additionally, every song we perform is arranged by a current or former member of the group.\
While the faces of Case in Point change over the years, we continue to bring you exciting new a cappella arrangements of a wide variety of music.\

The CWRU Chamber Collective was founded to provide students with the opportunity to make music in ensembles with other dedicated musicians in various wind ensembles, while also giving students interested in conducting the opportunity to do so while at CWRU.

Membership Benefits
Members will have the opportunity to play in various chamber ensembles in a student-led setting. The CWRU Chamber Collective provides opportunities to participate in a clarinet choir as well as a brass ensemble. Additionally, the small chamber ensembles program allows students to participate in small chamber settings with lower stakes than a class.

The CWRU Music Therapy Club was founded to provide music therapy to patients and their families at various clinical facilities in the University Circle area, while simultaneously affording undergraduate musicians at CWRU performance opportunities intended specifically to improve the wellbeing of those in need in clinical settings.

Mission
Dhamakapella is Case Western Reserve University's competitive South Asian fusion a cappella group. We perform original arrangements that fuse Western artists, South Asian film and Indian classical music, and genres such as pop, R&B, trap, and dubstep. Since our inception in 2005, we have recorded and produced eight studio albums. Not only does Dhamaka perform at various on and off campus events, but we also compete throughout the country in both the South Asian fusion and ICCA circuits and have won over 27 national titles. In 2022, 2023 and 2024, Dhamakapella won first place at the national South Asian fusion a cappella championship, All-American Awaaz. Our group is composed of students from a wide spread of musical backgrounds, ranging from shower singers to those with classical Indian and Western vocal training. We are united by our love for music and are always excited to recruit new talent, perfect our sound, and share our passion with our listeners!

The Music Graduate Student Association works to provide sustained support for current and prospective graduate students in the Department of Music at Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) in all aspects of graduate life. We foster intellectual and professional development through sponsorship of academic events and discussion, and promote fellowship among the graduate students through social events and moral support. We also encourage prospective students to join the program by coordinating campus visits and compiling informative materials about the program. One of our principal goals is that of fostering communication between our graduate student body, the Music Department's staff and faculty, and the campus community as a whole.

Members will be a part of the organization's goals of advocacy and mutual support, as well as participate in planning the organization's events, including student gatherings and the Graduate Student Conference, an every-other-year opportunity for graduate students to present their research. The purpose of the Music Undergraduate Student Involvement Committee (MUSIC) is to promote and facilitate various musical collaborations, performances, and experiences across campus among music majors, non-majors, faculty, and the general public. The mission for Naadam is to create an established space where students who learn and appreciate Indian Classical Music can express their cultural heritage. We are the official Case Western Reserve University Pep Band, a student group devoted to playing music and spreading spirit at events around campus, including basketball and hockey games and other community events. Anyone is welcome - just bring your instrument, come join the fun, and help support our Spartans!

If you've got some time, feel free to stop by any of our rehearsals. We'll take any instrument, tuba to slide whistle. Our practice times have yet to be determined, but we generally rehearse once a week before a performance for an hour. Stop on by just to say hi or bring an instrument and play along. We'd love to have you with us!

Solstice is Case Western Reserve University's all treble a capella group. Founded in the fall of 2003, we dedicate ourselves to providing students with the opportunity to learn, perform, and grow through a capella. We have a diverse musical repertoire which includes pop, light rock, alternative, and anything else that strikes our fancy. We perform at campus events, open for fellow CWRU music groups, hold fall and spring concerts, and do a variety of other performances on and off campus. For updates, check out our instagram page!
