The African American Society (AfroAm) is an organization to support the African American Community at Case Western Reserve. We originally started as the "Afro-American Society" in 1968. We were founded by a cohort of student leaders, including the late Stephanie Tubbs Jones, who would later become an influential Congresswoman for Ohio.

As an organization, we grow and develop many of the strongest leaders on campus with our network of support. We are proud to think and live and grow as we are. We strive to be aware and engaged in the work that is needed to sustain a fair and just campus, Cleveland, national, and global community.

The primary purpose of Chabad Student Group is to offer the unique approach it has to Jewish living, knowledge, and practice to the student community at Case Western Reserve University. Chabad provides vibrant Judaism, imbued with the depth and vitality of Chassidic thought, philosophy, and Jewish Mysticism, and within the framework of traditional Judaism. Our objectives include but are not limited to; educational, ritual, and social activities, in addition to counseling and spiritual guidance to individual students. Our organization is based on Chassidic philosophy, as taught locally at Chabad's Jewish Student Center directed by Rabbi Mendy and Sara Alevsky. Our philosophy does not concern itself with the background, upbringing or 'denomination' that most Jewish organizations utilize; rather we believe that that every single Jew deserves an equal opportunity to experience and enjoy their heritage. All programs and events of Chabad Student Group are within the framework of Halachah, Jewish law, as transmitted by the Rabbis throughout the generations dating back to Moses receiving the Torah at Mount Sinai. These goals shall be achieved through weekly Torah (Bible) classes, monthly women's programs, lectures on various Jewish issues, and speakers for religious and cultural events. We will also provide Shabbat and Holiday services, Glatt (the highest Kosher standards) Kosher dinners, Jewish holiday programs, and Shabbatons (unique weekends).

The T&C Club is a space for graduate students to come together through cultural exchange around tea—the second most consumed beverage in the world after water (Manellis, 2014; Tea Fact Sheet—2019-2020, 2020)—and chocolate. Spaces for graduate students to interact across campus have been limited since COVID-19 started. The T&C Club's purpose is to create such a space for all graduate students while being present through sensory experiences. At the Case Western Reserve University Indian Film Club, our mission is to create a vibrant and inclusive community that celebrates the rich tapestry of Indian cinema, culture, and music. Our purpose is to provide a platform for students to come together and experience the magic of Indian cinema in a lively and engaging environment and learn more about the complexities of our culture.

We strive to foster a sense of unity and cultural appreciation by organizing screenings, celebrations, advocacy events (for social justice-based movies), and cinema-analysis workshops that showcase the diversity and dynamism of Indian cinema. Through these activities, we aim to bridge gaps, break cultural barriers, and create lasting connections among students from various backgrounds.

Our mission is not only to entertain but also to educate. We are committed to promoting a deeper understanding of the historical, social, and artistic aspects of Indian cinema, fostering an appreciation for the industry's evolution, its reflection of the artistic reverberation and progression of a post-colonial country, and its impact on global popular culture. For example, we may do so by holding workshops to examine the link between Indian immigrant identity and Indian cinema.

At the heart of our mission is the belief that Indian films transcend borders and have the power to bring people together. We aspire to provide a space where students can immerse themselves in the colors, music, and narratives of Indian cinema, cultivating a sense of joy, curiosity, and cultural exchange. We are sure that this club will bring happiness to the significant Indian (Asian) – American population at CWRU and students from the many other backgrounds it can enrich.

Most activities are open to all people who are affiliated with Case Western Reserve University. Depending on the circumstances, people not affiliated with Case Western Reserve University may also participate in an activity. All activities must be in compliance with the policies of Case Western Reserve University.

Mission
The Undergraduate Indian Students Association (uISA) of Case Western Reserve University is a student-led organization under the Undergraduate Diversity Collaborative (UDC). uISA is one of the largest student organizations on campus as it works independently and in conjunction with other student organizations. Founded by Indian undergraduates, the organization strives to bring awareness of Indian culture and tradition to both Case Western and to the greater Cleveland area. uISA hosts many events throughout the year including celebrations of Navaratri Garba, Diwali, and Holi. An annual benefit dinner, formal dance, and cultural show are also major events put on, with the cultural show bringing in more than 500 attendees from the campus and Cleveland communities each year.

The Vietnamese Student Association promotes Vietnamese culture within the diverse Case Western Reserve University campus. We encourage healthy cross cultural relationships and showcase Vietnamese heritage through group activities, events and opportunities. We provide for all students, regardless of their ethnicity, a rich understanding and appreciation of global diversity and Vietnam.
