Celebrate "Weird Al" Yankovic's 62nd birthday with some U62! ...UHF, that is-the rerun--filled TV backwater of channels 14 and up that could never compete with the big networks. George Newman is a daydreamer put in charge of channel 62 after his uncle wins it in a poker game. His oddball programming choices, including a smash hit show by janitor Stanley Spadowski, capture the town's imagination and spark a rivalry with channel 8, whose owner wants to bury the competition... or at least turn it into a parking lot!
