Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week is an annual program where people come together across the country to draw attention to the problems of hunger and homelessness. The Basic Needs Task Force will spend this week holding a series of educational, service, and awareness events!

Come meet and greet with some of our Campus Departments to learn about the Basic Needs Resources on our campus! Resources to connect to for clothing, hygiene and cleaning products, nutritious food, secure housing, SNAP, and utilities will be available.

Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week: Make Your Own Fruit Salad Bar

On Monday, November 13th, UH&CS and DoS will be tabling in the Thwing Atrium to kick off Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week. Stop by the table to gain information and resources regarding food access on campus. There will be a fruit bar as well where students can grab fresh fruit to fuel their day. Our event is posted on campus groups, although registration is not required, just stop by on your own or with a friend, the more the merrier.

Serve with CCEL during National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week

The Center for Civic Engagement & Learning is pleased to host a week of service opportunities during National Hunger & Homelessness Awareness Week: November 12th – November 19th. Take action through projects responding to issues of food insecurity and homelessness and with organizations doing meaningful work in our community. Activities are open to all CWRU students.
