A CWRU Ph.D. graduate, Dr. Soni has more than 40 years of industrial experience developing and bringing healthcare products to market, including medical devices, drug products, drug-delivery systems, and combination products. He has held senior positions across the pharmaceutical and medical technology industries and was also a co-founder of Patara Pharma, which was acquired by Roivant Sciences. Dr. Soni is a co-inventor on 63 U.S. and foreign patents and has co-authored more than 20 peer-reviewed publications and presentations.
In this conversation, Dr. Soni will share insights from his career developing innovative healthcare products and navigating the path from an initial idea to commercialization. He will discuss how clinical needs, engineering and scientific development, intellectual property, regulatory requirements, and business considerations come together when bringing a new product to market.
