After graduating from Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University with a Master of Accountancy, Ammon entered the professional world working as a Postgraduate Technical Assistant before transitioning to Mergers, Acquisitions & Divestitures at Deloitte for 4 years. During that time, he observed that his wife Tamara consistently ran into issues finding the right footwear that could keep up with her daily life as a nurse. Inspired by a real-life problem he could aim to solve, Ammon went into Wharton's MBA program in 2017 to learn the tools to launch his own business. By 2018 - after doing extensive market research and winning a few Wharton business competitions, he created his first prototype and conducted a shoe trial. With the goal of creating a comfortable, durable shoe that was easy to clean, odor resistant and easy to take on and off, Ammon continued prototyping, testing and iterating until Clove was ready to launch in late 2019. Since finding massive success, Ammon continues to listen to his customers and improve their shoes, while providing a wide range of designs to provide a stylish (as well as comfortable) solution.
