Jayme Ambrose DNP, RN, CCM, FCM (NUR '12) - Executive Chair, Adobe Population Health: Jayme is the visionary Founder and Executive Chair of Adobe Population Health, an Arizona-based company offering an innovative, first-of-its-kind solution to the issue of health equity. Founded in 2018, Adobe employs a technology-driven model for interventional care management and takes a holistic approach to population health by closing care gaps, reducing costs, and caring for the whole person. APH currently provides services in 11 states, serving over 300,000 lives.
Ethan Moore MSN, RN, SRNA (NUR '25) - Founder, Lake Erie Drone, LLC: Ethan founded and operates Lake Erie Drone LLC, an FAA Part 137–certificated commercial agricultural drone spraying business serving growers across northern Ohio, which he built from certification through operations and now run semi-independently through a field operator who he hired and trained. Ethan is also a critical-care RN completing the doctoral nurse anesthesia program at CWRU
Jean Aertker DNP, APRN, FNP-BC, FAANP (NUR '08) - Executive Director, Florida Nurse Practitioner Network Inc: In 2002, Jean helped establish the Florida Nurse Practitioner Network (FNPN), Florida’s first statewide NP organization. Today, she serves as its first Executive Director, continuing to build opportunities, leadership, and support for Nurse Practitioners. She remains active in clinical practice and have served on many community boards while mentoring NPs, strengthening NP professional organizations, and advancing full practice authority for Nurse Practitioners across Florida and the nation.
Shanina Knighton PhD, RN, CIC (NUR '15) - Research Assoc. Professor and Asst. Professor Adjunct, Case Western Reserve University: Dr. Knighton is a nurse scientist, board-certified infection preventionist, entrepreneur and 2023 Entrepreneur in Residence for the Marian K. Shaughnessy Nurse Leadership Academy. Her research program began during her doctoral studies with a bed-rail dispenser that gives hospitalized patients verbal hand hygiene reminders and tracks their use - work that grew into the CHAMPS trial, a National Institutes of Health (NIH) funded study of the intervention among hospitalized older adults that she leads as Principal Investigator. Alongside the science she has built ventures of her own: as a Veale Faculty Fellow she founded Hey Dr. Nina LLC, and since 2018 has co-owned The Plug Appliances, a Cleveland retailer of certified used and scratch-and-dent appliances that has grown into a warehouse operation serving customers across the region and has kept more than 40,000 appliances out of landfills. She was the inaugural Executive Director of the Center for Research, Practice and Innovation at the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC), chaired an International Organization for Standardization (ISO) hand hygiene technical standard spanning 27 countries, and serves as an Adjunct Associate Professor at the Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing.
In addition to hosting a Zoom Meeting, we will also broadcast this roundtable to LinkedIn Live on the CWRU Veale Institute for Entrepreneurship LinkedIn Page.
The Veale Institute for Entrepreneurship hosts discussions from highly-accomplished industry professionals to speak with current students and alumni who are interested in topics within the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
