Weatherhead’s xLab invites student teams from any part of CWRU to submit an innovation idea to the inaugural xLab Pitch Competition! 
  • What is the future of “fanship” for baseball? 
  • How can baseball teams grow their fan base of “digital natives”?
  • How can digital, mobile, and service model innovations enhance the stadium experience?
  • In between games and seasons, how can the Guardians build a closer relationship between fans and players?
  • How can innovative data collection and analytical techniques support the fan experience?
Join us in-person for the official competition kick-off for essential information, Q&A with the Cleveland Guardians, and to find team members! Pizza will be available.

Work with your team on your idea during the week, and pitch it on Friday, September 29 to a team of judges for a chance to win $3,000 and a VIP Guardians ticket experience! Two runner-up teams will win $1,000. Registration is required; contact Celeste Blau with questions. xLab is a center in the Weatherhead School of Management that works with students, faculty, and industry partners to develop and design new digital innovations for products, services, and business models.
