With vivid characters, mesmerizing language and page-turning suspense, Madeline Miller’s Circe is an epic celebration of indomitable female strength in a man’s world. Now in development as an HBO Max series, the novel won the Indies Choice Best Adult Fiction of the Year Award and was shortlisted for the 2019 Women’s Prize for Fiction. Miller has taught and tutored Latin, Greek and Shakespeare to high school students for more than 15 years. Her first novel, The Song of Achilles, won the 2012 Orange Prize for Fiction.

Miller will speak on September 17 as part of the Cuyahoga County Public Library's Writers Center Stage series. As the academic partner for the series, CWRU students are able to attend this virtual event for free.
