Details

Susan Choi is the author of five novels, including The Foreign Student, for which she won the Asian-American Literary Award for fiction; American Woman, which was a finalist for the 2004 Pulitzer Prize; A Person of Interest, which was a finalist for the 2009 PEN/Faulkner Award; and, My Education, for which she received a 2014 Lammy Award. Choi’s fifth novel, Trust Exercise, won the 2019 National Book Award for Fiction. A recipient of fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts and the Guggenheim Foundation, she teaches fiction writing at Yale University. 

Choi will speak on November 19 as part of the Cuyahoga County Public Library's Writers Center Stage series. As the academic partner for the series, CWRU students are able to attend this virtual event for free.
