It’s that magical time of year when the maple trees come back to life after a dormant period in the winter and dispense their delicious winter store of nutrients! Join the University Farm for a day of maple tapping and treats as we walk you through the timeless tradition of maple sugaring! Explore the CWRU University Farm's sugarbush and learn first hand from our Farm Food Program team how you can make maple syrup in your own back yard.

Two sessions* are schedule to meet at the Pink Pig at 10:00 am and 11:00 am
Tours will take around 45 minutes, afterwards participants are welcome to hang out at the Pink Pig and enjoy hot chocolate around our crackling fire outside. This year, we also plan to have a few pancakes** for syrup sampling!

Transportation will be available for students to attend the 10:00 am tour ONLY.

*Programming will take place outdoors with hiking on trails and through the woods. Please dress appropriately (warm layers & hiking/waterproof shoes)

**All food provided will be in very small quantities - do not plan for a whole meal!
