All students, faculty, staff, alumni and members of the community are invited to join CWRU to celebrate Holi, the festival of colors!

The celebration will feature lots of colored powder, Indian street food, water games, badminton, cricket, music, and traditions associated with Holi and Basant!

Though primarily celebrated in India and Nepal, Holi is observed in many other countries throughout Southeast Asia and around the world. Originating in Hindu legend, Holi traditionally commemorated the act of the dark blue god Krishna applying color to the face of his soul mate. Known as being the festival of colors, Holi celebrations consist of the throwing of colored powders and waters at others.

*First 100 CWRU guests (CWRU ID) receive a free kite

*First 400 CWRU guests (CWRU ID) will receive a free CWRU tee shirt

The colored powder is safe and non-toxic but may stain certain clothing so please plan accordingly.

This event is sponsored by The Center for International Affairs, The Office of Multicultural Affairs, the Office of the Provost and First Year Experience.

It is made possible with the help of the Undergraduate Indian Students Association, SATRANG, iClub, and other student organizations.
