Library Advisor Tips & Notes
March 2022
Welcome to the March 2022 issue of the Library Advisor Tips & Notes newsletter!
Hope you enjoyed a well-deserved Spring Break! KSL and your Library Advisor are ready to help with information and consultation opportunities as you dial back into your projects during these final weeks of the Spring 2022 semester.
This month’s newsletter features information on library digital spaces, as well as research tools that you may find useful while working on your research projects. We also have a fun study break opportunity coming up in early April! See below for more details. As always, if you need help or have questions, don’t hesitate to get in touch with your Library Advisor.
KSL (Virtual) Spaces

In the November 2021 issue of the LA newsletter, we featured KSL’s Special Collections. KSL also hosts Digital Case, an online collection of manuscripts, media, CWRU scholarly output and creative work that also includes a variety of digitized materials from the University Archives and Special Collections.
Take a study break and browse an online exhibit from Digital Case about the history of libraries at CWRU.
Library How To’s

Have you ever searched in one of our online databases and wondered how to find the full text of a newspaper, magazine, or journal article?
In some cases you can click into the full text right from the article record in our databases. But, if you don’t see the full text icon for an article you want to read, check our KSL eJournals portal (4th link down). The eJournals portal provides comprehensive information on all of our periodicals subscriptions. Searching with the name of the publication, you can check all the access points, and what years for full text are covered.
Featured Resource

Have you decided on your major or primary field of study? If so, check out our online research guides!
KSL’s Research Guides collection brings together resource links and information from all over our main website to create a “one-stop-shop” digital location for resources in various fields of study. Research guides are also great to bookmark in your web browser so that you can get back to them quickly any time. Click into a subject guide of interest and explore!
KSL Happenings

April 7th is the last KSL Game Night of the semester! We're finishing the semester with a game of trivia!
If you don’t have a team (up to 6) no worries, we’ll match you up with other trivia pros when you arrive or you can play solo! For those who don't want to participate in Trivia Night, the usual board games will be put out on the 2nd floor Dampeer Room.
Location: Kelvin Smith Library, Room 215 for trivia / Board Games in Dampeer Room
Time: 7pm
Questions? Please contact Kelvin Smith Library administration at KSL-mail@case.edu or at 216-368-2992.
