This webinar will be recorded and shared with the registrants. 

Attendees who participate in Cultivating Your Scientific Presentation Skills will be well-prepared to successfully report on their research findings at conferences, universities, and other locations in a variety of formats — in-person posters, presentations, or online. This session covers the benefits of presenting or giving a poster, general preparation including the importance of understanding your audience, developing your story, design recommendations, and online presentations. The tips provided will position students to envision, structure, create, and present scientific findings successfully. Topics are pulled from the following chapters in the ACS Guide to Scholarly Communication: 1.7 Poster Presentations & 1.8 Oral Presentations (publishing 3/15/21)

Speaker's bio:
Sara Tenney, Publisher, New Product Innovation I Publications Division I American Chemical Society

Sara Tenney started her career in academic publishing selling textbooks to professors. This customer-focused beginning has continuously informed her career as a publisher of academic products. She has been with the American Chemical Society for close to four years as the publisher for digital books and references. Prior positions included Nature and Elsevier. She lives in Washington D.C.
