Almost every type of data either has, or could have, a spatial component. Geographic Information Systems (GIS) allow for researchers to map and analyze their data in new and exciting ways. This event will introduce the audience to GIS and geospatial data to spark ideas for where to find and how to use maps and their data in a variety of research and instruction pathways. Photogrammetry, the process of taking images and turning them into 3D models, and its research and classroom applications will also be discussed.
