What: Annual GIS Day
When: November 18th, 9:00am - 4:00pm.
Where: Zoom!

GIS Day is an annual event for students, staff, faculty, and the broader community to learn more about Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and to celebrate the power of geospatial analysis and visualization in answering research questions and solving real-world problems. If you have ever worked with maps, demographics, geography, urban planning, archaeology, or environmental studies, come join us to see how GIS intersects with your world.

This year, we are meeting virtually through Zoom and collaborating with OSU and The University of Cincinnati to bring together people from across the state. Cleveland, Columbus, and Cincinnati = 3C GIS Day!

3C GIS Day will include:
  • Lightning talks from experts in academia and industry.
  • A Storymaps Showcase - Enter your storymap into the showcase here: https://bit.ly/3dKfR1n
  • Professional networking - meet and speak with professionals who use GIS in their research, jobs, and for fun.

GIS Day will feture a series of brief talks from GIS experts in academia and various industries, as well as professional networking sessions so you can learn how GIS can advance your studies and career. In addition, we are hosting a StoryMaps Showcase to highlight cool projects and maps from students, researchers, and community members.
Please submit your own!
