Music Undergraduate Student Involvement Committee (M.U.S.I.C.)

Members of M.U.S.I.C. can perform in and attend a variety of club-organized events, ranging from performance events such as jam sessions and chapel concerts with access to professional recordings, to social events such as mixers, formals, and game nights. Free food is provided at most of our events!

Beyond formal events, members naturally become part of our close-knit community. We have seen informal activities, including chamber music, jam sessions, and parties, furthering our goals of music-making and camaraderie. Members will also have access to information about music-related events and performance opportunities around campus and in the general Cleveland area.

M.U.S.I.C. also serves as the student-run liaison between the CWRU Department of Music and CWRU undergraduate music majors, who are automatically registered to the group at the beginning of the academic year.

• Make music more accessible to the broader CWRU undergraduate community.
• Support member growth and provide performance opportunities in a supportive environment.
• Foster a close-knit community among music students and musicophiles of different disciplines and backgrounds.
• Connect music students to the professional world.
• Strengthen ties between CWRU students and the broader musical community, including students and faculty at the Cleveland Institute of Music and members of The Cleveland Orchestra.
