About Us

The purpose of this organization is to connect students of the Case Western Reserve University community with individuals affected by conflict and displacement through free, one-on-one virtual language and skills tutoring. Our chapter supports Paper Airplanes’ mission to promote cross-cultural understanding, educational access, and mutual empowerment through one-on-one online lessons, while fostering global citizenship and leadership among our members.

Paper Airplanes at Case Western Reserve University offers members the opportunity to make a global impact by providing free, one-on-one virtual English and skills tutoring to individuals affected by conflict and displacement. Members gain hands-on teaching experience, develop cross-cultural communication skills, and build meaningful international connections while promoting educational access and global citizenship. We host monthly chapter meetings, volunteer training sessions, and outreach events to connect with potential tutors and raise awareness about our mission. Our communications include email updates, meeting reminders, and posts on our official Instagram to share news, celebrate member achievements, and highlight learner stories.
