Public Health at CWRU

Public Health minor: A 15 credit program that exposes students to the field of public health. This minor is designed to equip undergraduate students with the core concepts of Public Health and is highly collaborative with many departments to provide a robust option for students who are pre-health or pursuing medical anthropology, medical sociology, mental health, global health, or nutrition and health promotion

Integrated Studies (BA/MPH): For highly motivated undergraduate students who are candidates for the bachelor of arts (BA) and whose objective is a degree at the master's or doctoral level

MPH Program: The Case Western Reserve MPH program has a two-year curriculum requiring 42 credit hours. Students have the option of enrolling part-time and must complete the program within five years

Local/National:

American Public Health Association Student Assembly: APHA's Student Assembly is the nation's largest student-led organization dedicated to furthering the development of the next generation of professionals in public health and health-related disciplines. APHA's Student Assembly represents and serves students of public health and other health-related disciplines by connecting people interested in working together on public health and student-related issues. Ohio Public Health Association: OPHA's mission is to be the inclusive voice for Public Health, to proactively advocate for policies that reduce health disparities and empower all people to achieve their optimal health, and to advance the practice of public health in Ohio.

Cuyahoga County Board of Public Health: CCBH's missions is to work in partnership with the community to protect and improve the health and well-being of everyone in Cuyahoga County.

At CWRU:

Advocates for Cleveland Health: A4CH is dedicated to helping the Cleveland community through public health education and medical screening services against diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, and other health issues. We are dedicated to preventing disease through screening services and health care education.

Partners in Health Engage: The mission of Partners In Health Engage is to fundraise and advocate for the cause of providing quality healthcare infrastructure in the poorest communities around the world, as well as in our own local communities. We fundraise directly towards our cause, raising money for building clinics, building roads, training healthcare workers from local communities, and maintaining a constant supply of resources to the health systems that we build.
