About Us
Ohio’s largest industry is polymers, with 2,800+ polymer-focused companies and over $49 billion in shipment. In addition to industry, numerous academic programs in and around Ohio offer polymer-focused degrees or conduct polymer-specific research. This presents an exciting opportunity, with academic and industry focus in such a small region. Our foremost goal as the Polymer Initiative of Northeast Ohio Student Organization (PiNO) is to attempt to bridge the gap between academia and industry, tapping the potential of Ohio's unique opportunity. We will provide students with an array of professional opportunities and training such as resume workshops, headshots, I&D training, internships/co-ops, grants, technical speakers, awards, social events, and mock interviews. This group will serve all engineering schools, such as macromolecular, biomedical, civil, chemical, and computer.
