Transitions to College is a new group counseling offering this year. It is open to any student who is a first year, first semester student living on campus who finds themselves struggling with making the transition into living with unfamiliar people in an unfamiliar place. This group aims to offer peer support to members over a 9 week period while also offering some psychoeducational guidance for ways to make this life changing time a little easier. Group members can expect to meet with other students who are new on campus who may also be struggling with things such as: roommate issues, finding a place to belong, figuring out a balance between studying and socializing, living in a new city, meeting new people and other topics as well. This group will be facilitated by a clinical social worker in the counseling department who will offer advice and suggestions to help this transition to college be as smooth as possible.

Sessions will be held: Sept , 20, 27 Oct. 4, 11, 18, 25 Nov. 4, 11, 18
You will automatically be registered for all 9 sessions, but will only receive a confirmation for the first session. Same zoom link will be used for all sessions.
